Bellum K9 is a full service dog training facility located in the heart of Galveston County on a 3 acre estate in Santa Fe, TX. We are approximately 30 minutes from Houston but also 20 minutes from Galveston Beach.

Owner, Shane McNamara, served as a presidential K9 handler for the United States Air Force for 6 years. As a Security Forces Sergeant, Shane and his K9 partners served under both the Trump and Obama administrations. After his honorable discharge from the military, Shane founded Bellum K9 and has since trained thousands of dogs. His biggest accomplishment was a completing a contract with the Department of Defense where he was responsible for implementing a K9 detection program for the country of Palau in the South China sea. However, if you ask him, he will tell you his favorite accomplishment was training a service dog for a little boy with Autism and Cystic Fibrosis who goes everywhere with her boy.

At Bellum K9, our Two-Week Board and Train program allows owners with busy schedules to drop off their dog and have our experienced staff implement a complete and comprehensive training program for them. This program is designed to teach your dog all levels of obedience, allowing your dog to return to you well mannered, and conditioned.

Owners can rest easy knowing that in their down time, their dog will relax in our large, climate controlled kennels. Our facility is also monitored 24 hrs. a day and is equipped with security cameras. When your dog’s training is complete, we will also take the time to show you how to administer commands and keep with the training via personal training sessions. These sessions are of no extra cost to you and can be booked around your schedule. All pricing and packages are gone over in our personal 1 on 1 evals.
